THE COMPANY: 2G Pharma Inc. is the dream of two girls, best friends who, after many years of working together in the corporate pharmaceutical world, decided to impart their business development, sales and marketing expertise to their own labour of love; something that was their own, that they could nurture and grow.

THE TWO INSPIRATIONS: A close friend, Tamie, was diagnosed after 10 years of severe suffering from Celiac disease which took a physical toll, leaving her mentally and physically exhausted. Another dear friend almost bled to death due to intestinal bleeding resulting from her undiagnosed Celiac disease. While learning more about Celiac disease, we came upon a unique, patient-friendly Celiac test kit developed in Finland. This kit has been redesigned for the Canadian market and as of February 2008 is the only Health Canada approved point-of-care Celiac disease test kit available.

THE GOAL: The startling reality of 1 in 100 Canadians suffering from Celiac disease was overwhelming. We opted to take our vast knowledge, contacts and understanding of the Canadian health care market and apply it to this daunting task. It became our personal goal to ensure that patients suffering from Celiac disease could be diagnosed quickly, painlessly and accurately, in order to start on the road to healing.

THE OUTCOME: Great News!! In February 2008, 2G Pharma Inc. went live with its first product in Canada, the Biocard™ Celiac Test kit.
